WHAT WE DO

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance

Electrical failures rarely happen at a convenient time. A structured maintenance program provides the information needed to identify developing issues, understand equipment condition, and prioritize work before reliability is compromised.

Asset Health

Know the Condition of Your Equipment

Preventative electrical maintenance is crucial to minimize unexpected outages or equipment failure. Testing, equipment history, operating conditions, and observed changes all contribute to understanding the health of an electrical system.

IXR works with facility and maintenance teams to assess critical electrical assets and develop testing programs appropriate to the equipment, operating environment, and consequences of failure.

Predictive Insight

NETA-BASED MAINTENANCE, INTEGRATED WITH YOUR SYSTEMS

IXR applies ANSI/NETA MTS testing procedures and proven preventive and condition-based maintenance techniques to evaluate equipment health, identify developing deficiencies, and establish practical maintenance intervals based on condition, criticality, and operating history.

Inspection findings, test results, deficiencies, and recommended actions are structured to integrate with existing CMMS and EAM platforms—turning field data into prioritized work orders, traceable maintenance records, and defensible long-term asset-management plans.

Program Scope

Electrical Maintenance Testing

Programs can be developed for individual assets or broader power systems and may include:

  • Switchgear, circuit breaker, and transformer testing
  • Protective relay and protection system testing
  • Medium voltage cable and insulation testing
  • Grounding system verification
  • Equipment condition assessment and trending

Results are documented in our database to establish equipment history, identify deficiencies, and support future maintenance planning.

Field Coordination

Planned Outages. Better Information.

Outage windows are limited, and the work completed during them needs to count. IXR can coordinate electrical testing with planned maintenance activities, helping teams prioritize critical equipment and respond efficiently when testing identifies an unexpected condition.

Where corrective work is required, our field and engineering capabilities allow issues to be investigated further and equipment retested before return to service.

Reliability Is Built Over Time

A strong preventative and predictive maintenance program creates more than a record of completed tests. It develops a clearer picture of asset condition over time, reducing unexpected outages, helping owners make better decisions around maintenance, repair, upgrades, and eventual replacement.
